Thanks to Joel Johnson, it's my new nickname. :) J'adore Shannanigan et Joel Johnson.

I'm on Fall Break, but it's not going to be very break-y. Tomorrow, my mother and I are going to attend me Great-Aunt's funeral. It's been a long time since the last funeral I went to...I don't even remember who died! I love people-watching at funerals. I love people-watching. That's creepy...watching people, for example, buy bread is so great to me. Why?

I've been reading quite a bit lately...and that's a good thing. I just finished a book where one of the characters always exclaims "Lanky Lizards!" Where did that come from? Lanky...that's just one neat word.

Ok, time to go! So this song is stuck in my head, and I thought I'd borrow her idea just this ONCE. So, there you go. Fever performed by Peggy Lee is a great song.

It's been a while. I know. I've been sort of busy, or maybe I was just making up excuses? I don't know. Our computer is slow. Dreadfully slow. I have not the patience nor the energy to blog anymore. I have mixed feelings about the year so far.... My chemistry teacher is dreadful. He is inconsistent and rude. He's no help, so I end up going to my Algebra II teacher (who's the nicest man I've ever met) for help. Thank God he's the smartest man. Ever. Alright, so that's a downside. Plus, I am bad at Algebra. I just don't get it. Sometimes, I just give up and figure that I will never ever have to touch this stuff again. Eckkkkhhhhh.......There are a few classes I enjoy, creative writing being one of them. It's challenging, but it's not a grade I have to worry about because pretty much anything is accepted. Ah, I love it. I also love my prof de francais. Elle a tres amusante...See, I learned that much from her.

Ok, so...Oh! I saw a play my brother was a player in on Friday, the 16th. The play was called Fuddy Meers (I think I discussed this already?) and it was great. I love visiting him. It's the ONLY thing I have to look forward to in life. This is what I've been reduced too. This, and my television shows. Each night, I have a different show to watch. Oh my goodness.

I'd best study for Algebra II.....large test tomorrow. Who's excited?

I'm confused about Lithium batteries.

My mother will embark on a five day journey to Arizona and she wants to take my digital camera along with her. Thought you should know.

I suppose I could complain about gas prices right here but I'm not sure if the problem will be resolved..

School is fairly boring this year. I feel wasted there because I know that much of the stuff I am learning won't be used. I think I learn more in the hallways then I do in the classrooms. But, as Linda said in her Blog (lindufus.blogspot.com) I should be happy with my education, and the fact I'm getting one. :) I was considering, again today as every other day, what I should do when I am an adult and I come to the same revelation each time: It's in God's hands and I should give my life to Him. I'm offically freaked out now (this was an allusion to every Disney movie ever made!)

Well, I just had a fun weekend and I hope you did also. I went with my homeschooled friend to Cedar Point on Friday. I skipped school. This is a painful thing. Cedar Point was pretty exciting except it was hot and I smelled. Bad. And I don't feel bad admitting that becasue I'm sure that you have smelled bad once in your life. On Saturday night, my friend and I spent the night at some ladie's house. They're dog watching the scariest dog. His eyes bore into your soul. Anyway, that was a fun adventure. I shouldn't feel too bad, though. The less time I spend in the computer, the better.

Youth last night went really well. Every week, I always complain about having to go (although no one is forcing me) I never think about the times I would have hated missing, like last night. I am disappointed Ross missed it. We took him back to school on Sunday. His room is fabulous (Party Monster) and larger than is last. I am happy because he is thrilled that he and his roommate has their own bathroom. No longer does he have to share showers with everyone else on his floor or glance at vomit of some poor drunken soul. We had to take him down earlier than most other people because of his practices. He's in a recently released play entitled Fuddy Meers. He plays Richard, the husband of a woman who has a certain type of amnesia that makes her forget everything after she's gone to sleep. It's a comedy and Ross has the privilege of saying F***! How exciting!

School begins tomorrow. I am not nervous; it's as if I never left. I am just concerned with my schedule. Last year I had to go to classes for a couple of days that I hadn't wanted to take until they were able to change my schedule. That's unpleasant; it takes longer to settle into the schoolyear. Ever since returning from Tanzania, I've done three things: Eat, read, and the one thing that dominates most of my time, sleep. Not joking; I went to bed at 8:30 last night. I awoke at 8 this morning. Disgusting.

Africa was surreal. I still cannot believe I was there. It was really an amazing experience. It was quite a culture shock though; I've seen things and read things about Tanzania. A few facts: Tanzania is 99% Muslim, though not hard to reach. They are allowed to litter, so garbage is EVERYWHERE. In Swahili, they're first language, candy is "peepee" or "pipi." I'm not entirely confident in those spellings.

I think this trip will be easier to discuss once I am able to include photographs. This year was amazing! I'm not entirely sure what was so exciting about this festival as opposed to the previous two I've attended. I think it's because we (Laura, Rachel B. and I) talked to a greater amount of people; that always makes it more interesting. You can't attend Cornerstone and not find something to talk about with a random camper. The weather was beautiful; I actually grew cold at nighttime, which is unheard of....so very shocking. The bands were amazing and I saw Aaron Weiss of mewithoutYou speak and that's something everyone should experience! He's the best; his presence on stage is so wonderful with his constant dancing and spinning. Some of the best things about the Festival were the booths at the Merchandise tents handing out information about The One Campaign, World Vision, organizations like that. There are so many oppurtunities to help out at Cornerstone; I love it. Go to www.theonecampaign.com to check out what they're about.

It's really odd being home; I felt as if I never left from Cornerstone last year. I'd only been gone a week but I was expecting something to change; nothing did. I'm leaving for Tanzania in one week! I am so thrilled to help the people there. I'm going for them; not for myself. I think that's one of the reasons people go on Missions trips. They're expecting to change themselves when they should expect to change another person's life. It's bothersome.

This is really quite precious.

This makes me happy. :)

I dislike it when men feel the necessity to act "macho" because that's how society treats them. At 2 am, I started a coughing fit. You know, it was one of those where you never quite throw up but you begin to retch; unpleasant. Other than that, it was a enjoyable saturday evening. We waltzed about Crown Point, asking the most random of Crown Point citizens their opinions on some questions and video taping their responses. We received some education answers; I was pleasantly surprised!
Pam and I filmed a musical. It was pretty bad. Well, I was pretty bad, but Pam is wonderful. She isn't afraid to make a fool of herself (which she didn't) and she is extremely creative; it is almost sickening.

Father's coming over tomorrow! Oh I'm so excited. I started crying for a number of reasons, which is odd because I usually express my emotions in a different manner (Yelling at Scott, Ross, Mom, those poor souls.) (Just joking.) Anywho, I suppose I'm just upset because I despise my job for really unimportant reasons and that I'm quitting. I have the easiest job known to man or woman, and the fact I'm quitting makes me seem selfish...or am I the only one who thinks that? Then I become paranoid that I'll regret quitting. I just dislike working during the weekends, especially during the school year. I want to save those weekends for visitations with my father, and for time with my friends. During the school year, I felt as if I never had a break, with going to school eight hours a day and 5 days a week, then working. I greatly dislike this feeling of becoming an adult. Of course, it is inevitable, yet I feel like if I don't work just yet, I will be able to preserve it. Do you ever feel that time is moving uncontrollably fast and that no matter how many Disney movies you view or how many child-esque moments you create, you'll never feel that adolescent feeling again? I sure do.

I suppose that if God wanted me to stay he'll tell me. I've not been listening too well lately...I need to simmer down. Well, thanks for listening to that. :)

On a happier note.....I leave for Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania in 34 days! I'm thrilled, yet terrified. I've wanted to travel everywhere since I was this tall _______ but I fear I'll dislike being in a different country, let alone a different continent. Again, this is in God's hands, and anyone who reads this, if you could perhaps pray for me, I'll greatly appreciate it.

Merci beaucoup!

Hmmm....this summer has been very suttle so far. We (meaning my brothers and I) have gotten into a daily routing, which I never really like because routine is never interesting, but here it is so far: Wake up around 11:00 am or 12, eat lunch usually consisting of hot dogs and ramen noodles, fight over the computer for about 15 minutes, I often win, stay on the comptuer for and hour or 2 (so unhealthy). I then will read for a great period of time; I am trying to encourage my brain not to shut down. I shower, and watch TV, eat dinner, and then attend Driver's Ed at 6. This lasts until 8. Never ever ever let your child attend this expensive waste of time. Please. I return home and we (again, my brothers and I) watch any random movie. It takes us about 45 minutes to choose one that will suffice for our current mood. We own too many......way too many. I go to bed between 2 and 3 am. Exciting? Not in the least. The last movie we watched was Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. I love that film. I am the only one in this household that grows enthusiastic over its title. Sad.

Ok, I'm sorry that this is great in length. I'm going to mow the lawn. Bye; have a lovely day.

Why not take advantage of the A/C?

It's very terribly hot in my house. He is a character in Fruits Basket (or FB as Rachel calls it.) Fruits Basket is my first Anime series and I'm absolutely in love. Kyo is my man. I even have a black and white-beaded bracelet as he does! Exciting? Yes.

I discovered this weekend that I enjoy swimming immensely; Laura's pool was open. I was thrilled. It felt like I had just swam in her pool. The school year flew by. I cannot believe it. Anywho...what else did we do? Ah yes...I attended their church. It was crazy! The pastor enjoys pausing between phrases....I wanted to slap him. That would've been rude, so I refrained from doing so. We also watched Fruits Basket. When Laura and I grew bored, we went to Barnes and Noble and laughed at everything that moved. I whipped out my most dangerous Cosby impression, which sucks by the way, and made Laura laugh. What else is new; she laughs at everything.

That is it. Goodbye my friends.

Bonjour!

I have this odd feeling that only two other people will be reading this so...hello Pam and Linda!
